Financial Analysis
Comparing the annual reports of 2019 and 2020, three main ratios are taken for financial analysis of Mintos. The quick ratio, which measures the company's ability to meet its short term obligations with its most liquid assets, it is clear that Mintos had a better quick ratio in 2019 compared to 2020. In 2020, the ratio is lower and it expresses liquidity problems. In other words, it shows that Mintos had much more current liabilities than current assets last year-2020. COVID-19 can be a reason for it, but can not 100% say that it was because of the pandemic. To study the return on assets ratio, there is not a big difference between the ratios of 2019 and 2020. The return on assets in 2019 was a bit better than 2020. Mintos needs to use its assets more efficiently to have higher returns on assets. Finally, the debt to equity ratio is a good indicator of a company's financial leverage. There is a significant increase in the debt to equity ratio of Mintos in 2020 - from 1.43 to 4.29. It can be said that Mintos as a financial institution tried to rely on financing its business by debt-actually the whole industry relies on debt/loans. To sum up, it can be said that Mintos’ financial health is not good because of its liquidity problems and lower return on its assets.
